Mark Cobb to Speak at AIA Construction Contract Document Workshop

Experienced Georgia Construction Lawyer, Mark Cobb, will be presenting at an AIA Contract Document Workshop to be held in Atlanta, Georgia on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. This Seminar is designed for construction professions who use or negotiate construction contracts published by the AIA (American Institute of Architects). The various topics to be covered by the seminar includes very relevant information related to AIA documents and its users.

In addition to discussion construction contract fundamentals, this workshop is designed to examine the primary AIA contract documents and general conditions; it will also include a review of agreements between the project owner and the architect, design builder, and the construction manager as well as the supplemental or alternate AIA contract documents.

Specifically, Mark will be presenting a session entitled “Supplemental or Alternate AIA Contract Documents” which will include in introduction and discussion of the following:

  • A105 – 2017 Standard From of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor for a Residential or Small Commercial Project;
  • A107 – 2017 Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor for a Project of Limited Scope;

The workshop is designed to educate attendees on all aspects of the AIA document programs from the most commonly used forms to some of the lesser used templates discussed in Mark’s session. Other topics on the agenda include the following:
