Biography:

As Of Counsel to the Cobb Law Firm, Barry has performed a variety of legal roles for more than 30 years as a member of a multi-disciplinary law firm and corporate counsel for private and public companies. Barry served as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs and General Counsel for Communications Central, Inc., a $100 million publicly-traded company operating in 42 states. During his tenure, Barry helped direct a successful public offering, managed multi-state acquisitions, negotiated complex agreements, and advised the Board of Directors on navigating legal challenges.

Barry’s business background, as both an entrepreneur and executive, compliments his legal experience by advancing a practical approach to the law which seeks creative solutions to achieve efficiencies and mitigate business risk. As founder and President of Prime Point Media, a national outdoor advertising company, Barry negotiated exclusive vendor agreements with high-profile entities, managed federal and municipal regulatory compliance, and guided the company’s successful sale. Barry has also advised trade associations through a myriad of strategic, regulatory and legal challenges and was previously elected Chairman of the American Public Communications Council.

Barry is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a bachelor’s degree in communications with highest honors, and was awarded the Valedictorian, Tennessee Association of Broadcasters and Bickel Communications scholarships. He also received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Tennessee and acquired licenses to practice law in Georgia, Florida and Tennessee.

Barry is a certified arbitrator and mediator in the state of Georgia and has substantial experience in managing complex disputes and settlement negotiations. He frequently speaks on a variety of legal topics, including how to prepare companies for successful exit transactions.

Barry is married and has two grown children who are both entrepreneurs. As a professional musician, Barry has been fortunate to have played in numerous U.S. and European venues and continues pursuing his love of music by performing as keyboardist and vocalist in Atlanta’s longest-running rock band.
