Cobb Law Group Participates in Golf Tournament

June, 2010

Today, we thought we would momentarily step-away from discussing Georgia construction law.  Instead, you might be interested to learn that the Cobb Law Group was pleased to sponsor a hole in the Bald Ridge Lodge’s First Annual Golf Tournament held on June 15 at the Windermere Country Club.  It was a fantastic turnout with over 170 golfers participating for this worthy cause!  Christopher Thurman represented our law firm in a foursome that enjoyed the entire day which included meeting NASCAR driver David Ragan, enjoying a box lunch and barbeque dinner, participating in a silent auction, as well as playing a round of golf.

For those of you who are not familiar with it,  Bald Ridge Lodge, Inc. is a non-profit Stabilization and Assessment Center for boys ages 12 – 17 who are in the custody of the Department of Family and Children Services or referred by the local Juvenile Court.  The Lodge opened in August 2008 to help Forsyth County youth and was founded by local organizers Judge Charlie Smith and Buddy Lang. Through partnership with referring agencies, as well as families, the Lodge focuses on family reunification and restoration. While at the Lodge, residents receive counseling, mentoring, community support and engage in positive activities.  To learn more about this great group or, better yet, to make a donation, please visit https://www.baldridgelodge.org.

If you like to play a round of golf or two, we highly recommend participating in next year’s golf tournament.  It’s sure to be a fun way to support a great cause.  In the meantime, it’s back to work on materialmen’s liens and bond claims…….
