Federal Government Offers Loans and Stimulus to Georgia Businesses

April, 2020

The following is a copy of an email blast which we sent to those on our newsletter list; we wanted to include it here for others as contractors across the country have questions regarding how they can cope with the COVID-19 pandemic and how they can continue making payroll for their employees during these uncertain times.  This was originally written by attorney Barry Selvidge.  Please let us know if you have any questions:

Clients and friends of the firm:

In these uncharted times, it is a relief to know that the federal government has been creating new programs to help small businesses meet their payroll, rent, and other obligations.  We’ve been fielding a substantial number of questions this week regarding the CARES Act and ways construction businesses (and other businesses) can receive cash on a timely basis.  The most frequent inquiry is regarding the “Paycheck Protection Program” and how you can take advantage of its benefits.

We wanted to provide you a couple of documents that will help answer most of your questions.  Obviously, the application process is important, but just as important will be the process to successfully receive loan forgiveness.  Time is also of the essence to prepare the required information, as the number of applications expected to be received will be substantial.

Our firm would be happy to help in any way we can.  Please don’t hesitate to reach out, as we have personnel who are well versed in these new options and can help guide you along the way.  To send us an email, please click here > >
