Continuing education is vital for every construction profession if he or she wants to remain vital in the 21st century economy.  Training your next generation of employees can be time-consuming and difficult, but our training programs are designed to eliminate this inefficiency.  Our training runs the gamut from the basics of construction contracting and bidding to how to negotiate the tougher contract provisions of pay-if-paid terms, risk allocation, avoiding & mitigating damages, as well as Georgia’s mechanics and materialmen’s lien laws.

There are statutory advantages for every tier in the construction industry, but they are most prominent for specialty subcontractors and material suppliers.  Consequently, one of our most popular seminars trains your employees on the purposes and understanding of Georgia’s lien statutes.  In order to avail your business of these advantages, it is vital that you and your employees understand the requirements necessary to claim the rights under Georgia’s Mechanics and Materialmen’s Lien Act.  Georgia’s subcontractor rights can help you improve your cash flow and receive the money you are due; however, failure to strictly comply with Georgia’s complex lien requirements and meet every deadline will result in a forfeiture of your rights, which may substantially affect your company’s bottom line.  In order to help you inform and educate your employees, the Cobb Law Group offers Georgia Construction Law Seminars.  This is a basic to intermediate level seminar meant to be a practical introduction to Georgia’s Construction Law.  Our current seminar topics include the following:
