Biography:

In addition to his tremendous legal experience as a construction lawyer, Christopher also has hands-on experience that has been invaluable to the firm.  His practical experience began just after graduating from college where he worked in Atlanta’s film and theater industry building sets and rig equipment on location.  Following this introduction to constuction work, Christopher took a position with a construction firm that specialized in fire and storm damage restoration.  His initial responsibilities were on-site work, then project supervision/management and eventually, lien and insurance claim issues.  His former employer now turns to Christopher for legal advice.

While in law school, Christopher was actively involved in student activities.  He was a member of Phi Delta Phi, the Student Bar Association and the American Bar Association, Law Student Division, where he served as a lieutenant governor.

Also while in law school, Christopher clerked for the highest trial level court in Ohio and participated in legal internships with a prosecutor’s office and public defender so he could gain experience and perspective from both sides.  After graduating, he worked for a Georgia Special Assistant Attorney General where he gained significant courtroom experience, and then he began his own practice representing opposing parties, again to gain experience and perspective from both sides.  Christopher has also served as associate general counsel for a private research firm, where his responsibilities ranged from contracts and corporate issues to employment and immigration issues to intellectual property matters and managing outside counsel.

In elementary school, Christopher began participating in live theater performances, and after a hiatus in high school, he resumed performing in college.  He feels that his live-stage experience has helped him in the courtroom and when making presentations to clients.

Christopher is a Georgia native, an avid outdoor enthusiast and he was a competitive swimmer and diver in high school and college.  He has been doing volunteer work since 1988 with an organization providing no-cost programs and services to pediatric cancer patients and their families.  Christopher is also an alumnus of the Leadership Forsyth Class of 2003, and he was recently nominated to participate in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year campaign to raise money for this cause.
